TRAVELER - Debut Album in February
Fresh off their split with Finland’s CORONARY, Canada’s TRAVELER will release their self-titled first full-length on February 22nd via Gates Of Hell Records!
Recorded at three different studios throughout 2018, “Traveler” will feature eight songs of up-tempo, classic metal, right up the alley for fans of vintage JUDAS PRIEST, MANILLA ROAD and RIOT.
According to guitarist and founding member Matt Ries, “Traveler” will certainly appeal to fans of their debut demo and split with CORONARY. The three songs from their demo have been re-recorded and given new life thanks to TRAVELER’s now-complete lineup, a first for the band. “To have this become a reality is amazing,” he says. “I've learned a lot about who you jam with and not settling for anything less than the best. I've also learned how much work comes behind taking the reins on everything, but it's all worth it.”
TRAVELER, who are now rounded out by vocalist Jean-Pierre Abboud (also of GATEKEEPER), second guitarist Toryin "Junior" Schadlich, bassist Dave Arnold and drummer Chad Vallier, tracked drums at AB Records, guitars at Ries’s home studio and vocals at Richhobo Studios. In all, their self-titled album shows just how far TRAVELER has come in the span of a year, with the re-recorded songs from the demo blending seamlessly with the band’s new compositions.

GATEKEEPER - 'Grey Maiden' EP in February
Looking to strike while the iron is hot, Canadian true metal up-and-comers GATEKEEPER will release the “Grey Maiden” EP on February 22nd via Cruz Del Sur Music.
Featuring two brand-new compositions, a cover song and a track re-recorded from their first demo, “Grey Maiden” picks right up where the band’s acclaimed “East Of Sun” first full-length left off. The groundswell of support in North America and abroad — including the selling out of the vinyl and CD pressing of “East Of Sun” within six months — spurred GATEKEEPER to satiate their ever-growing fanbase with a new release.
“We’ve been working harder and faster than ever since all of this started happening,” says guitarist and founding member Geoff Blackwell. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned from spending the past ten-plus years in bands, it’s that momentum is your greatest resource and you’ve gotta pour gasoline on the little fires that pop up in your career.”
GATEKEEPER’s future plans include a tour of Europe in support of “Grey Maiden”, including spots on key festivals such as Hell Over Hammaburg, Swordbrothers and Up The Hammers. In addition to more live dates in their home territory of Canada, GATEKEEPER will buckle down and get to work on their second LP, which, according to Blackwell, will feature material contributed by the entire band. But, before the calendar jumps over to 2019, some reflection of 2018 is warranted, a year that saw GATEKEEPER emerge as one of the best new traditional metal hopefuls in recent memory.
Tracklist:
1. Grey Maiden
2. Tale Of Twins
3. Moss
4. Richard III

BOOZE CONTROL – New album “Forgotten Lands” via Gates Of Hell Records
German Metallers BOOZE CONTROL will release their new and fourth full-length, “Forgotten Lands”, on February 22nd 2019 via Gates Of Hell Records!
The album was recorded in October 2017 at Overlodge Recording Studio in Harz Mountains, Germany, with Martin Schnella handling engineering duties.
“Forgotten Lands” is the embodiment of a band now in full songwriting stride. BOOZE CONTROL’s engaging blend of NWOBHM-inspired classic metal shines through on the album’s ten cuts. “The two previous albums really helped us find and define our style as a band,” says vocalist/guitarist David Kuri. “We feel that we got it now, so ‘Forgotten Lands’ is less of a search and more of an arrival. This doesn’t mean that it’s boring now — on the contrary, it allowed us to be more confident when deliberately diverging from that style, so there is quite some experimenting going on on top of the solid heavy metal foundation we defined for ourselves.”
Kuri says BOOZE CONTROL (who are rounded out by second guitarist Jendrik Seiler, bassist Steffen Kurth and drummer Lauritz “The Lord” Jilge) often come up with songs during rehearsal where they swap riffs and ideas. Some of the songs on “Forgotten Lands” stem back to the band’s 2013 “Heavy Metal” and 2016 “The Lizard Rider” albums, but always go through the same process with Kuri and fellow guitarist Jendrik Seiler adding finishing touches. One element on “Forgotten Lands” is sure to stand out: BOOZE CONTROL has adopted a much more serious lyrical tone than their previous efforts.
The “Forgotten Lands” cover art was created by Dimitar Nikolov (Keep It True, ROSS THE BOSS, STEELWING, SACRAL RAGE). Nikolov was asked to create the “Forgotten Lands” album cover due to the overwhelming response to the band’s previous two album covers, which he was also responsible for.

SANHEDRIN - New Album 'The Poisoner' in February - Cruz Del Sur Music
Brooklyn Metallers SANHEDRIN will release their sophomore album, "The Poisoner", on 22nd February 2019 via Cruz Del Sur Music!
Recorded in August and September of this year at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves with Colin Marston at the helm, “The Poisoner” features eight songs of timeless, classy heavy metal that picks up where the band’s acclaimed “A Funeral For The World” debut left off, with an array of big riffs, catchy vocals and explorations into darker territory than before.
"We had no idea how that record would be received when we released it,” states guitarist Jeremy Sosville, also of BLACK ANVIL. “We knew we were proud of it, but the response from the greater public was quite surprising and humbling. Since then, we’ve been able to play some great shows and really learn what makes our band unique and build on that."
SANHEDRIN, who also feature former AMBER ASYLUM and LOST GOAT vocalist/bassist Erica Stoltz and drummer Nathan Honor, used ideas that date back to the formation of the band for "The Poisoner" in addition to songs that were written around the time of “A Funeral For The World’s” release. The overriding goal, however, was to have an album ready in time for their European live debut next March alongside label mates GATEKEEPER.

2. Wind On The Storm
3. Blood From A Stone
4. The Poisoner

IN TWILIGHT’S EMBRACE - New album 'Lawa' out now
Polish Black-Deathers IN TWILIGHT’S EMBRACE have unleashed a special release - “Law” is out now!
Released by the band in cooperation with Left Hand Sounds a year after the lauded fourth full-length “Vanitas”, “Lawa” is yet another step into the sonic realm of Metal Śmierci, a rift between the fundamental principles of black and death metal, yet this time taken even further, into more atmospheric, idiosyncratic and surreal directions. It’s an exorcism, during which the spirits are unbound into a November night and dance among the living. Come, join the celebration of the weird!
The complete album is available for streaming at this location: https://youtu.be/A21fbU3Br84
CD and digital versions are available here: https://intwilightsembrace.bandcamp.com
LP release will follow in early spring 2019.
The band states: “In the evening of Forefathers' Eve or All Saints’ Day to others, we are one with our Dead. To honor them and to communicate with the netherworlds, we unleash “Lawa”, a work of music and word meant to mark the significance of this very day in the culture of our homeland. Sung entirely in Polish, “Lawa” captures what we think is the essence of the Polish spirit: a boiling mixture of insane passion, belief in the supernatural, death worship and dwelling on the past. Drawing inspiration from both the famous poetic drama “Dziady” ("Forefathers' Eve") by Adam Mickiewicz and its psychedelic movie rendition “Lawa” (1989) by Tadeusz Konwicki, the new work of In Twilight's Embrace is the proof that romantic traditions are still the cornerstone of Poland’s DNA and cultural paradigm. For better or worse. Or bitter, if you will.”
Tracklist:
1. Zaklęcie (The Spell)
2. Dziś wzywają mnie podziemia (The netherworlds beckon me today)
3. Krew (Blood)
4. Pełen czerni (Blackfilled)
5. Ile trwa czas (How long does time last)
6. Żywi nieumarli (Alive undead)
Live:
13th December, Poznań (PL), Klub u Bazyla, “Lawa” release party
15th December, Berlin (DE), De Mortem et Diabolum at Columbia Theater
