SUN OF THE DYING - New Music Video - Third Album "A Throne Of Ashes" in November 2025 via AOP Records

Spanish Doom/Death Metallers SUN OF THE DYING have premiered another song from their upcoming new album "A Throne Of Ashes", set for release on November 21st 2025 via AOP Records.

A music video for the track "Of Abscence" is available here: https://youtu.be/uBOegR6WGdo

Inspired by genre classics like My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Paradise Lost, as well as more modern bands such as Ahab, Swallow the Sun or Shape of Despair, SUN OF THE DYING walks the path of authentic Doom/Death Metal, unafraid to incorporate touches from many other styles.

The band was founded in 2013 by Casuso (guitar) and Lavín (vocals), and reached a stable lineup in 2017. That same year, they released their debut album, "The Roar of the Furious Sea", through Throats Productions.

With the new line-up established and extensive live experience, they recorded their second album, "The Earth Is Silent", at The Empty Hall Studios. It was released in November 2019 through AOP Records. The album’s positive reception led the band to play throughout Spain, until the pandemic forced a temporary retreat from the stage. They returned to live performances sharing the stage with major acts like Sylvaine, Officium Triste and Evadne, and they reached the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle for the second time.

In late 2024, they returned to The Empty Hall Studio to record their third album, "A Throne of Ashes", released in 2025 by AOP Records. The album was mixed and mastered by Javi Félez at Moontower Studios, with artwork by Manuel Cantero.

Tracklist:
1. Martyrs
2. Black Birds Beneath Your Sky
3. With Wings Aflame
4. The Greatest of Winter
5. House of Asterion

Mateus Cantaleano wrote all the music and lyrics. The line-up on the recording was Marc Brito (vocals), Mateus Cantaleano (guitar), Ricke Nunes (bass), and Sidnei Dubiella (drums). TOTAL ANNIHILATION – New Album "Mountains of Madness" in January 2026 via Testimony Records – Music Video / Single Premiere

Swiss death-thrashers TOTAL ANNIHILATION have announced their new album, entitled "Mountains of Madness", scheduled for January 16th 2026 on all formats through their new label home Testimony Records.

It was recorded by Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studios in Freiburg (DE) and mixed & mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Björnström Sound & Production in Sundsvall (SE). The cover artwork was created by Bruno Gonzalez.

A video clip for the album's leadoff track "The Art of Torture" can be checked out here: https://youtu.be/HFvbwr_JSKQ

Guitarist Jürgen Schmid states: "This song is a beast! Imagine some bastard thing between Frankenstein’s Monster and the Alien – this song delivers all the trademarks we stand for and even more. When you ask for a reference about the current musical development of the band, this would be one of my suggestions to check. And beware… it’s incredibly fast and also a lot of fun to play. Definitely an upcoming classic for our live shows. Lyrically we’re into a very old topic – torture… in any form we are able to imagine. I am always impressed by the loads of energy and creativity mankind can invest in mistreating each other. If you think civilization got rid of these bad habits of medieval times, I sadly have to smash your illusions. It was always here and will always be. It only changed its look."

TOTAL ANNIHILATION will celebrate the band's 20th anniversary year with the release of their fourth full-length "Mountains of Madness". This album delivers all the Swiss precision and trademark elements their following has come to expect of them but also with more of everything: more tempo and serious speed, more brutality, more power, more thrash, more death but also more harmonies, more melodies, and more musicality!

There are also more tentacles, more jaws, more razor-sharp teeth, more twisted mutation, and definitely more evil! Talking about tentacles, the album title points already towards the famous cosmic horror novella "At the Mountains of Madness" (1936) by American gothic author H. P. Lovecraft, who has been a constant source of inspiration for the metal scene in general and TOTAL ANNIHILATION in particular.

Yet for TOTAL ANNIHILATION all this horror is not just escapism for entertainment but it serves a meaningful purpose. The album is permeated by a deep moral disgust and burning anger towards all the evil and reckless destruction that humanity forces onto itself and all other forms of life on this planet and earth itself. "Mountains of Madness" is conceived as an echo of and a bold manifesto about the state of the world as well as an artistic sign of our time.

"Mountains of Madness" has been recorded with ENGL equipment and both guitar shredders of TOTAL ANNIHILATION, Nicolas Stelz and Jürgen Schmid, feel honoured to be officially collaborating with the prestigious musical gear manufacturer now. The guitarists comment: "Total Annihilation runs on pure metal and solid bonds", Nicolas and Jürgen state in unison. "For that reason, we are stoked to announce our collaboration with ENGL Amplification – the masters of crushing guitar tones. Based in Germany and still a true family company, ENGL has set the standard for devastating distortion for decades. Their amps and gear are built to last, insanely versatile, and the weapon of choice for guitarists worldwide. We could not be more thrilled – prepare for total sonic destruction: annihilate 'em all!"

NATTRADIO - New Album "The Longest Night" via Darkness Shall Rise Productions - Single / Video Premiere

"Sketches From The Dark" is the first single from NATTRADIOs upcoming second album "The Longest Night", set for release on December 12th 2025 via Darkness Shall Rise Productions on all formats.

Check out the video clip here: https://youtu.be/YX4M2Itn8-w

NATTRADIO is Niklas and Martin, known for collaborations with Anders Fridén (IN FLAMES) & Jonas Renkse (KATATONIA).

Rearing its head out of the seemingly endless darkness of the north, Sweden based NATTRADIO are a rather recent born, obscure entity with so far only one full length album to their name. If the strength of their second album "The Longest Night" is anything to go by NATTRADIO's obscurity should be over soon, though.

The album is characterised by a sombre and pervasive sense of melancholy that splendidly encapsulates themes of isolation and emotional struggle. Preferably listened to during the night's darkest hours "The Longest Night" is a record that gently envelops you.

One of the band's members by writing the following regarding NATTRADIO's motives and sound perfectly characterizes the band: "NATTRADIO was born out of sleepless nights. Every song is written and recorded between 01:00 and 05:00. The songs move through a nocturnal landscape we call Doom Noir – drawing from '90s Gothic Doom, Darkwave, Ambient and at times, Noir Jazz. The goal is to capture night-time themes. These are stories from the hours after midnight, with grief as the central emotion."

Despite drawing inspiration from various sources NATTRADIO's soundscape has certainly most in common with KATATONIA's era beginning with "Discouraged Ones". Especially the singer's voice sounds strikingly similar to Jonas Renkse. So much so that one can only wonder if it's actually the KATATONIA singer's characteristic melancholic voice singing to the sound noir.

"The Longest Night" stands as an evocative journey through the labyrinth of melancholy, offering listeners a soundscape both immersive and introspective.

Appearing right in time to accompany you on endless strolls during the most melancholic season, we heartily encourage you to do yourself a favour and obtain a copy of this marvellous album!

HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY - Third Album “Disturbing The Cenotaph” in December 2025 via Pulverised Records - Details & Track Premiere

HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY, led by former MONSTROSITY and VILE frontman and current artwork artist Mike Hrubovcak and Rogga Johansson from PAGANIZER and RIBSPREADER, have announced their third full-length "Disturbing The Cenotaph", set for release on December 12th 2025 through Pulverised Records.

A first track, "Island Of The Dead", has been premiered at this location: https://youtu.be/Z48CsjkIV_s

Since the duo, completed by former THE PROJECT HATE drummer Thomas Ohlsson, originally picked up their moniker as an homage to the 1981 cult horror flick of the same name, it shouldn’t come as a surprise they’ve once again paying tribute to director Lucio Fulci (1927-1996) in one of this album most lethal salvo, "New York Ripper". Elsewhere on this third album, other tracks like "Undead Apocalypse" or "Burial Disturbance" were inspired by other famous horror classics like "Night Of The Living Dead" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", Hrubovcak has come up in his lyrics with his own tales of terror.

Some are totally fictional like, "Coffin Colony" about a "diseased homeless living in underground coffins who gets infected with rabies after eating sewer rats". Others, like "Lunatic Butcher" are inspired by real-life events or, in that case, by the antics and vicious killings of Paul John Knowles, dubbed ‘the Casanova killer’.

Rogga Johansson states: "This album is HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY on steroids. The sound is broad and impious, the vocals are awesome and the heavy riffing interlaced with occasional melody makes an overall varied, fun and GORY listen!"

Completed, like on 2024’s "The Mortuary Hauntings", by a gruesome artwork courtesy Felipe Mora (whose nightmarish visions can already be seen on albums by CONSUMPTION, ACHERON or WOMBBATH) and mixed by Håkan Stuvemark from WOMBBATH, "Disturbing The Cenotaph" is one raw, in-your-face and eight songs packed death-metal-to-the-core album ready to chill you to the bone!

Tracklist:
1. New York Ripper
2. Coffin Colony
3. Island Of The Dead
4. Depraved Unspeakable Acts
5. Massive Cadaver Resurrection
6. Undead Apocalypse
7. Phantom Intrusions

MASTER'S HAMMER - New Album "Maldorör Disco" via Darkness Shall Rise Productions - Second Video / Single released

The Czech masters of oddity and weirdness return! MASTER'S HAMMER present the second single from their upcoming new album "Maldorör Disco", scheduled for November 26th 2025 via Darkness Shall Rise Productions

Check out the video clip for "Andel Slizu" here: https://youtu.be/MyUsl8q4Qgk

Never the least concerned with fitting in, MASTER’S HAMMER refusal to be confined to certain genres and play by anybody’s rules, has resulted in many highly original albums that defied categorization. Unsurprisingly, "Maldorör Disco", the band’s ninth album, follows in this direction and is yet another bold release by MASTER’S HAMMER, showcasing the group’s commitment to pushing boundaries.

Although "Maldorör Disco" is still unmistakenly MASTER’S HAMMER it’s probably their most experimental and least Black Metal sounding album to date. Entirely lacking fast paces, the album’s 10 tracks predominately oscillate between slow and mid tempos. The album is not so much dominated by guitars as in the past, instead Franta’s characteristic riffs are accompanied by layers of various electronical elements. Besides the masterfully composed synthesizers and keyboards, the multiple voices appearing throughout the album and the way they are arranged play a pivotal role in "Maldorör Disco" too.

The visual presentation of the album deserves a special mention; Franta has again come up with some beautifully bizarre artworks. Marvelling at these surreal masterpieces and reading the disturbingly amusing lyrics while listening to the music is the right way to experience this album.

Listeners who enjoyed MASTER’S HAMMER’s previous efforts or who have a soft spot for the theatrical and unconventional in general, will find plenty to relish on "Maldorör Disco". It’s an album that rewards attentive, adventurous listeners, delivering a journey that is as confounding as it is exhilarating. "Maldorör Disco" stands as a testament to MASTER’S HAMMER’s relentless drive to innovate and push forward with total disregard for conventions or expectations.

Tracklist:
01. Andel Slizu
02. Genisis P. Orridge

04. Maldorör Disco

06. Beast Within

SLAUGHTERDAY – New Label Deal with Testimony Records – New EP "Terrified" in November 2025

To celebrate their new and freshly signed record deal with Testimony Records, German death metal veterans SLAUGHTERDAY have announced a special 7” EP entitled "Terrified", scheduled for November 21st 2025 on transparent yellow & black splatter vinyl.

The title track is streaming here: https://youtu.be/CS83gipvfx0

Recording, mix & mastering by Alex Pojda at Holodeckstudio, Oldenburg (DE). Cover artwork by Thomas Westphal (Necromaniac Artworks). Music video created by Luiz Arruda / Audiopower.

Guitarist Jens Finger comments: "This EP differs stylistically from our regular releases, because it is a tribute to the old grind bands like Repulsion and Napalm Death, which is also reflected in the cover and the logo. Of course, this immediately brings to mind Repulsion's title 'Horrified' – which was exactly our intention. Every track is a short, sharp attack on the ears. What you hear is what you'll get: bursts of explosive energy, razor-sharp riffs, and relentless rhythms – uncompromising and unrestrained!"

Frontman Bernd Reiners adds: "Both, the eponymous track 'Terrified' and the EP are paying homage to the raw ferocity of grindcore's early pioneers – meaning such legends as Napalm Death and Repulsion. Staying true to the genre's uncompromising roots, this track is a furious burst of aggression and bleak honesty that channels the chaos, speed, and unfiltered rage that defined the early days of grind. Lyrically, 'Terrified' tears into the modern cycle of fear, manipulation, and profit-driven hate. The repetition and blunt force mirror the suffocating nature of dread. With its grinding riffs, pulverising drums, and relentless vocal assault, 'Terrified' is not just a song but a statement. We salute the unrelenting spirit of grindcore's past, and raise a warning cry that is squarely aimed at the present."

On their "Terrified" EP, death metal aficionados SLAUGHTERDAY deliver four short sharp chops as a tribute to the early pioneers of grindcore. This EP should therefore be regarded as a crushing interlude between two albums rather than a foretaste of brutal things to come on their next full-length.

Great Old Ones, forbidden sounds, tentacled death metal is rising... the German death metal powerhouse comes with a pedigree that amounts to nobility in the northwestern corner of their country.

SLAUGHTERDAY were formed in the East Frisian city of Leer in 2010. The original and still remaining core duo consists of string-shredder Jens Finger, who served as the guitarist of Oldenburgian death metal legends OBSCENITY from 1994 until 2010 and is also the growler of new label mates TEMPLE OF DREAD. The other half of the duo is personified by vocalist and drummer Bernd Reiners, who has also lent his voice to Aurich based death thrashers BK 49 among other acts.

From the start, SLAUGHTERDAY have channelled the raw, morbid spirit of such old school giants as AUTOPSY, DEATH, and MASSACRE. Yet while they always deliver crushing riffs and brutal pounding, these Germans come with captivating choruses and haunting melodies that set them apart from many of their deadly peers.

With the visceral debut album "Nightmare Vortex" (2013), the no-less massive "Laws of the Occult" (2016) and "Ancient Death Triumph" (2020) as well as their latest crusher "Tyrants of Doom" (2022), SLAUGHTERDAY cemented their position as one of the top acts within the German death metal scene.

Lyrically, SLAUGHTERDAY stand firmly on the well-established foundations of their genre, but taking inspiration from American author H. P. Lovecraft and other masters of horror. And while sinister things crawl and creep through the duo's timeless brutality, they have also blended it with a sinister flair of their own.

While we patiently await new horrors and more brutal madness, SLAUGHTERDAY take a short but fun detour by paying homage to the Giants of Grind!

Tracklist:
1. Ashes of the Innocent
2. Fleshtorn Future
3. Terrified
4. Chained to Oblivion
