Ashen Eidolon

Northern Silence Productions / Soulfood

Gallowbraid was conceived by J. Rogers in Utah in November 2006 with the intent of playing a dynamic but also melancholic combination of doom and black metal with folk influences. Rehearsals were held with brother A. Rogers and long-time friend H. Glasheen. During this period, the first songs began to be created. The rehearsal group disbanded before any live shows were held due to conflicting schedules, but J. Rogers finished composing the fledgling songs and recorded demos. Those demo tracks were noticed by Northern Silence Productions, who signed Gallowbraid and financed the recording of the Ashen Eidolon EP in the Spring of 2009. The EP was recorded at Woodland Studios, operated by J. Neblock of Vindensång. A debut full-length album is planned, and the songwriting process is already underway.
