Release:

Pulverised Records / Soulfood
May 2009 (GER)

Info:

Brutality in the genre of Black Metal has never been so sonically devastating. The second logical follow-up of Swedish’s evil mongers VANMAKT embraces the mighty throne with “Ad Luciferi Regnum”. With a definitely more distinct and mature sound, fans should also be pleased that the VANMAKT trademark sound is very still much intact; the exact same hate-filled contempt towards organised religions and backed by 666 Demonic speed blazing throughout its entirety. “Ad Luciferi Regnum” has clearly proved that both dynamism and dissonance do co-exist in the same world of extreme Black Metal!

Featuring the grandeur artwork and layout by 3-Crosses Design (Enthroned, Impiety, Guillotine, etc) together with the mixing and mastering duties executed by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio (Watain, Tribulation, Nominon, etc).

Biography:

The Vanmakt era started in the autumn of 2006 by M. Svensson and V. Dahlgren. At this time both members felt that Vanmakt should do something special, and when the writing begun they noticed that even though the core was fast and brutal black metal, they also had an essence of Death Metal and Doom. This was exactly what these two gents had been looking for. Something new and fresh but still not too far away from the origin of grim and blasting Metal!

In the fall of 2006, Vanmakt recorded the first demo entitled "Diaboli Iubeo, Para Vindicta" and after only 2 hours on the internet they got contacted by Pulverised Records as well as several other interested labels. Later that fall, a deal was signed with the Extreme Metal Home, Pulverised Records. So in January 2007, Vanmakt entered Eclipse Studios to record their debut album entitled "Vredskapta Mörkersagor". This grim album was released in August 2007 and had received all kinds of reviews throughout the world, both positive and negative. A couple of gigs were made in Sweden and Vanmakt got a reputation about being a really good and sick band on stage which led to offers about US and Euro tours, but since the drummer at that time got sick and had to have surgery in the fall of 2007, eventually all the tours got cancelled. M. Svensson starts to work on new material for a second album instead.

By December 2007, Vanmakt entered EPM Studios to record a 3-song promo entitled "Brethren Of Lucifer", and once again Vanmakt signed a deal with Pulverised Records! The second album of Vanmakt that got the title "Ad Luciferi Regnum" and will contain 9 songs of blasting hatred and a release date will hopefully be set to the winter of 2008! So stand ready for some pure hate-filled blasphemy!
