Jawbreaker Records is proud to announce the release of "Wolfshead", the self-titled debut full-length album from New Zealand heavy metal warriors WOLFSHEAD. The album will be released on November 13 on Vinyl LP, CD and digital formats.
Forged in Auckland, New Zealand in 2022, WOLFSHEAD was born from a shared passion for the timeless power of classic heavy metal and hard rock. Founded by Aaron Baylis and Santi, the band set out to create music that captured the spirit and conviction of the bands that first inspired them to pick up their instruments. With the addition of Martín Thayer Joui on bass and vocals, and drummer Martin Cavanagh, WOLFSHEAD quickly evolved into a formidable force dedicated to carrying the true metal tradition forward.
After years of refining their sound and overcoming setbacks, including the search for a vocalist who could match the band’s vision, Aaron and Martín stepped forward to handle vocal duties themselves. The result is a sound that feels both authentic and untamed, driven by powerful dual vocals, soaring guitar harmonies and a relentless commitment to heavy metal’s enduring spirit.
Recorded and produced by the band during 2025, WOLFSHEAD is a triumphant debut that captures the energy, determination and rebellion that have defined the group since its inception. Visceral, passionate and unapologetically heavy, the album stands as a declaration of intent from a band determined to leave its mark on the global metal underground.
Following the departure of drummer Martin Cavanagh and the arrival of Antony Mifsud-Houghton behind the kit, WOLFSHEAD enters a new chapter with renewed momentum and a debut album ready to be unleashed upon the world.
