NAIL BY NAIL was founded in September 2023 by guitarist Tobias R. (Imperium Dekadenz, ex Demorphed) and vocalist Philipp H. (ex Pighead, Kraanium). The initial idea to handle the band as a two-man studio project was quickly discarded and they immediately started to look for suitable members to complete the line-up and be able to play live. Shortly thereafter Noel A. / drums (SchlVcht, Illusive Hatred) and Lars H. / guitars joined the band and bassist Emmanuel B. made the squad complete. In the summer of 2024 NAIL BY NAIL released their first two singles "Embraced by Darkness" and "Crooked Nails" while at the same time the recordings for their first full-length album started and were finally finished in February 2025.
Influenced by their manifold previous musical experiences the band created a bastard of raging and haunting Black/Death Metal, which they will set free in numerous live rituals following in 2025.
Convinced by their music and dedication, War Anthem Records joined forces with NAIL BY NAIL to release their debut full-length album "Embraced by Darkness" on May 9th 2025 on CD and all digital platforms.
