Info:

War Anthem Records proudly presents the sophomore full-length album of German Death Metallers APEP, entitled "Before Whom Evil Trembles".

In 2016, after their previous band Carnage split up, drummer Merlin, vocalist Christopher and guitarist Oliver founded a new entity called APEP. Soon a more technically oriented style was established and the trio recorded a self-titled demo which was released in February 2017. The bass guitar was handled by Exx Tom of Exxperior and Dust Bolt. One year later in summer 2017 Philip joined the band as a second guitarist and APEP played several shows across eastern Germany.

In winter 2018/19 the recordings for the first full-length album started and were finished by July 2019. Shortly thereafter the material was mixed and mastered by Patrick W. Engel of Temple of Disharmony Studios and painter Paolo Girardi was chosen to craft an artwork for the record. "The Invocation Of The Deathless One" was finally released on January 31st 2020 on CD and later also on tape and vinyl. Since then the band established their standing in the German Death Metal scene and shared the stage with bands such as Purgatory, M.A.D, Fleshless, Weak Aside, Necrovault, Archaic Thorn, Master, Hideous Divinity and many more. At this time the band also played their first show outside of Germany together with Incremate in the Czech Republic.

The new album "Before Whom Evil Trembles" features a cover artwork by Paolo Girardi once again. Christoph Brandes of Iguana Studios was in charge of mixing and mastering.
