GOAT THE HEAD - ’Simian Supremacy’ - by means of primal caveman death metal
Astronomers have recently detected cosmic ashes from the dawn of time. From stars that died more than 10 billion years ago. The instrument used one of the world’s most powerful cameras to glimpse some of the most distant quasars yet known.
What that instrument also detected was a tribe hailing from the muddy areas surrounding the river Nidelva in the Norwegian wilderness. A barbaric four-piece that stripped ‘raw’ of its original meaning. Musical, brutal, uncouth and coarse in appearance, the Trondheim-based tribe embodied the aptitude of preliterate cultures. A bit like nature at its worse.
Their penchant for keeping it “simple and organic” also reflected in their nomadic performances whose reputation resonated through the Stone, Bronze and Iron ages as unique and uninhibited, peppered with nudity and blood-curdling rituals.
For the purpose of preserving evidence of their colouful experiences, GOAT THE HEAD finally produced a merciless masterpiece - ‘Simian Supremacy’. Something for the audience to gnaw on in this date and age: a ferocious, fearless and bone-crushingly real collection of 13 frenzied sonic compositions. Plus, bonus track and 17-second-long single, ’Darwinian Minions’.
