 Spring 1996
 Foundation of INSIGNIUM with Apollyon playing guitar and Shoggoth as drummer.
 
 Spring 1997
 First experiments to use keyboards.
 
 Winter 1997
 Shoggoth and Apollyon now both played guitars and did the vocals. A new drummer and a new keyboarder joined the band.
 
 Winter 1998
 The line-up was completed with a bass player. INSIGNIUM now were a quintet.
 
 January 1999
 INSIGNIUM recorded their demo-CD "Insignia Risen..." in the K-Sound-Studio in Hagen, engineered  by Mathias Klinkmann
 
 May 1999
 "Insignia risen..." was released.
 
 October 1999
 Major line-up changes: drummer and bassist had to leave the band.
 
 February 2000
 INSIGNIUM contributed a track to the compilation "Unerhört-Sampler" of the German "Rock Hard"-Magazine, on which they were featured as one of the best bands without a label-deal.
 
 April 2000
 With a new drummer INSIGNIUM played their first gig in the „Berlet Halle” in Hagen.
 
 June 2002
 After some more changes regarding the keyboard, the band decided to abandon it from then on.
 
 December 2003
 After almost 5 years INSIGNIUM returned to the K-Sound-Studio in Hagen - again under supervision of Mathias Klinkmann – to record the new CD.  It contains 8 tracks with a duration of 53 minutes.
 
 Autumn 2004
 INSIGNIUM and the label Black Attakk arrange a co-operation.
 
 January 2005
 Release of the debut Album which was recorded in the end of 2003 entitled „In die Abgründe“
