FEJD was formed in 2001 through a unique fusion of the folk duo Rimmerfors and members of the metal bands Pathos and Nostradameus. Rooted in medieval-tinged folk traditions performed with old acoustic instruments, Rimmerfors joined forces with their childhood friends to create a sound that bridges two worlds - blending the power of heavy metal with the rich melodies and melancholic spirit of Nordic folk music.
After years of anticipation, FEJD now returns with their fifth full-length album, "Nifelheim". From the very first note, listeners are drawn into a world of ancient legends, carried by powerful arrangements and the evocative language of Nordic melancholy. With their signature use of traditional folk instruments, FEJD once again affirms their place as one of the leading names in folk metal.
