Release:
This Charming Man Records 22.05.2026
Info:
They don't make a big fuss, they don't pose 24/7 on all social media channels, forgo advertising and big words of any kind, and don't play randomly at every outlet. Actually, a non-sequitur in today's time. Self-inflicted business damage, so to speak.
And yet, the formation from Tübingen, founded in 2009, is always in the mouths of many with each of their albums, which are always stoically and simply titled with the band name, enjoys at least respect, and even untouchable cult status among many fans - and not only within the punk (rock) base, but also deep into the alternative and metal scene.
Big riffs - sometimes epic, sometimes punk-like, sometimes snappy, and almost always neck-breaking - and the sometimes two-part vocals are the core trademarks of the foursome, along with Spartan lyrics reduced to the bare essentials in English and a magnetic groove for which countless other musicians would kill: HYSTERESE at its very best.
With their fifth album, HYSTERESE will plow through your hearts. As expected, the quartet rolls their gloomy punk rock into the next metamorphosis. The massive melodies are carried by crushing wide-screen guitars, sometimes shoegaze, sometimes 80s rockism, timeless and uncompromising.
And did someone actually say Manilla Road?
