‘P.S.I.entology’ DVD
Pitchshifter
www.psirecords.com

PITCHSHIFTER were a mainstay in the British music scene for over 13 years. The band has graced the covers of Kerrang!, Metal Hammer and Rocksound magazines. They have recorded numerous sessions for the infamous John Peel Show as well as become staples on XFM and the Radio 1 Rock Show, still finding time to play main stage at the Reading Music Festival and tour the UK & USA on Ozzfest and Warped Tour! Pitchshifter have wrecked havoc in over 25 countries worldwide alongside touring partners: Deftones, Quicksand, Tool, Fugazi, Static X, Black Sabbath, Incubus, Taproot, Hundred Reasons and Limp Bizkit. Pitchshifter even gave bands like Lost Prophets and Therapy? their first breaks as support acts on the road in the UK. Pitchshifter made nine albums, collaborated with Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), remixed whomever they pleased (from Clawfinger to Stereophonics), had alien crop circles fashioned in their image, induced countless stage invasions and broke many bones. In short, no one can deny that Pitchshifter lived it like no others.

Always innovative, never compromising, Pitchshifter stamped their own unique blend of guitar-laden digital chaos all over the scene, indelibly marking their place in British music history.

Join us in celebrating the frenetic ball of creative energy that is Pitchshifter, with the release of ‘P.S.I.entology’. A DVD put together by the band themselves, and released on their own label, PSI Records Ltd.

J.S. Clayden (vocals): “We personally waded through a decade of video tapes and picked out the choice footage for this disc. This is a release for the true Pitchshifter fan and we’ve crammed every ounce of bonus features we could possibly fit onto the disc for them. Backstage footage, live cuts, interviews, tour stories, unheard remixes, promo videos. It’s all on there. Pitchshifter encapsulated. Check it out!”

Mark Clayden (bass): “There has never even been a VHS release of Pitchshifter live, so the ONLY way people could catch the energy of the group was to come and see us play. This DVD exposes some of that live energy and also has a ton of extras to give the viewer an insight into the ‘behind the scenes’ life of the band. The fact that we are putting it out on our own label means that the project has been done right, with the fans in mind from the offset. I think the end result the perfect package for the true PSI fan.”
