On their fourth studio album they present themselves mature and grown-up. The mixture of Black Metal and traditional Heavy Metal enriched by Folk Rock and medieval choirs was perfected on "The Arcanum" /the mystery/ secret). It's an album full of power and hymns which will become path-breaking for the rigid scene. Suidakra was founded in 1994, and they have proved from the beginning that Black Metal may as well be melodic and complex. The musical version of celtic legends and myths has always had top priority. In 1997 Suidakra released their debut "Lupine Essence" which Last Episode re-released as bonus on the limited edition of "last From Afar" in 1999. In 1998 "Auld Lang Syne" was released. This album got great reviews in all Metal magazines (Rock hard 8.5/10, Hammer 6/7 ect.). The highlight of that year was to play several support gigs for Haggard & Tristania, playing at Wacken and on some label festivals. With the help of the third album "Lays from afar" they could etablish their name in the Metal scene and filled both critics and fans with entausiasm again (Rock Hard 9/10 ect.). In autumn 1999 they went on tour with their label mates mystic Circle, Graveworm and Stormlord, and in the beginning of 2000 with Eisregen. As they were really satisfied with the sound on "Lays from afar" they chose to enter the Stage One studio and work with producer Andy Classen again. The style has stayed the same but they have used more medieval choirs and acustic passages which underline the folk flair. This liking cluminated in the cover version of Skyclad's "The One Piece Puzzle". The lyrics are again inspired by Celtic mythology and their own fantasy. It has become a genuine Metal album for fans of all sorts of Metal, be it Power Metal, Gothic or Metal. The breakthrough should be guaranteed by " The Arcanum"! Tracklist: 1. Wartunes 2.
